trunk lid

hello; I'am new. When I bought my 86 T type the guy had a phone in it that I did'nt want. He had it in the center console compartment. I think he took it out buy cutting the cable that led to an outside antenna that was mounted in the trunk lid. Now if I remove it I'am left with a hole.
anyone remember those days?
My question is. Anyone ever had one and if so how did you fill the hole without alot of work?

Hardware store grommet assortment

You should be able to by the piece any size you need - internet maybe Jegs?

A grommet is only temporary but

It will get you by til time comes for some metal work, maybe seal the grommet in with some adhesive. It should keep the water out for a while I guess.

I have filled a couple holes this way - just never had occasion to do it on a Regal. I was lucky last time - even bought the right one at the Ace Place on the first trip.
