Are there issues with swapping a GN tranny w/ a TType tranny?I ask because the TType is a column shifter, and the GN a floor.

Is it a direct bolt-up?

The tranny is the same, the only difference is the shift arm which bolts to the side of the trans with one bolt. A simple swap is very easy.

So are the shift arms located in different places? Or is it a direct bolt-up?

The selector shaft is in the same position on both transmissions, however the colum shifter didn't have a cable which changed gears, it used a series of rods, therefore it doesn't have the little arm sticking down to which the cable connects.

So, you simply unbolt the shifter arm assembly, which is one nut, (either 14mm or 15mm) from one and exchange it with the other.
