Well I have not been on here for a while!! I pulled my 84 out today after it had became a shelf and collected a lot of dust:rolleyes: Stupid guy by my shop says his Vette is faster, well I shut him his wife and his son and thier friends up real quick today;) Anyways I have a few quick questions about my car. For starters it is an 84 Hot Air. It has a rebuilt motor with around 30,000 miles. It has an accel pressuer regulator and fuel gauge. It has a stock ECM, and chip. It has stock injectors and has Poston headers and a Mease down pipe and a cold air intake as well. There are more parts but this helps some it up! Oh yeah and I am running around 15psi of boost. The problem I have is the car is running rich I can smell it real bad. It is fouling plugs left and right and I can't drive it to far. I see that who ever had the car set the fuel pressure to 50 psi at idle. I left it alone cause I figured if it had that many miles it is fine:rolleyes: I think it needs a fine tuning. So my question is how do I set the TPS and IAC. What else should I do as well. What are the best plug wires to run for the hot air cars. My headers and down pipe are frying the wire on the pasenger side. What is the best octane as well? Any help would be nice. I would like to drive it not work on it all the time:mad: Thanks in advance. Oh yes I have a powerlogger but I do not have a laptop yet!!!

Running Rich

Fuel pressure should be set around 40-43 static, that's with the vacuum hose off to set the pressure then reinstall hose. To set the TPS & Iac you will need a volt meter or a scan tool. Typically you want the TPS set .40-.42 volts key on engine off and the IAC about about 10-15 counts @ idle. Check one of the stickies for more info or go to the web site Turbo Regal Web Site
