Hi All

Just to let everyone know, those of you going to the Detroit Autorama, there is a very nice 87 Grand National and a GNX on display this year. The GN is located toward the front of Cobo, when you come in head to your left, you should find it pretty easy. The GNX is located toward the back of Cobo near the Bell Tire display.

Sweet, now if only I get there this weekend without ending up upside down in a ditch on the 401 from the snow!

I took some pic's yesterday of the 87 GN and GNX at the Autorama. Will try to post some more tonight. Enjoy!

awesome

Very nice pics, man gn's are like the most nicest cars i ever saw in my life.

My first Autorama experience has come to an end and was very cool to say the least! Much to my suprise I even won the class I was in. Knowing the quality of cars that are on display here, I wasn't expecting to place at all. The GNX took first, an 81 Pontiac Trans AM came in second, with the 87 GN taking third. There was five cars in the class all together. The pictures of the GN and Trans AM DO NOT do them justice! I was convinced the battle for first and second was between them, with the GNX placing a strong third. An added bonus to the weekend was the X might even be featured in a magazine, more to come on that. All and all this was a very cool experience! Getting into Cobo for the setup and getting out at the end of the show was a bit of a pain, but was worth it.

I thought the turnout was worse than last year. $16 bucks to get in the door plus $10 parking to see most of the same cars as were there last year was a let down.

 Wow....here it was 15 dollars to get in and free parking. I had some discount coupons and my girlfriend and I and our 3 kids got in for 38 dollars total. As for the same cars I always skip the autorama every other year sometimes I wait two years before I go again.

cobo car show

Hello all ,I was not able to go but i flew my oldest son he is 17 soon to be 18 less then 15 days to Michigan to go with his uncle . He was showing his GN there and placed 3rd .I was told 1st hand "Dad it was so bad" but I took it as a good thing .lol I was happy that he had a good time there and enjoyed all the cars. He helped his uncle desplay his car and helped shine it up . I feel he will remeber it for many years to come. it is so very nice to show the younger guys what it is all about and the hard work that it takes to get and keep a car in show form . I picked him up at the airport yesterday he tryed to show me pics off the camera as i was driving down 75...lol after we got home and pulled them up on the puter made me feel happy that i could share this with him . But my brother took great time and care to show him what is was all about . for that I thank you Uncle dave . But now the big problem! Now He wants a GN so this mean uncle dave has to get him one? lol thanks all he had a great time :D
