b4black Well-Known Member Joined May 24, 2001 Mar 18, 2002 #2 I saw that. '79 intakes were cast iron. The knock sensor won't work in an aluminum manifold, that's why Buick moved it to the block. Ask him how much it weighs (for shipping purposes of course). If it's ~33 lbs., it's iron. Casting number would help too.
