turbo jeep?

Hi guys, I have an old Jeep I am building using the Buick 225 Odd-fire V6. I was wondering if anyone has ever turbo'd one of these motors? Are their parts availiable to do it? Or would it be better to just get a 231 even fire motor? That would bolt up to my tranny the same. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Matt

In '79 the V6 heads were resigned for better flow. Most Carb/Turbo set ups are matched to these heads. I believe if you use these heads on a 225, you'll hav water passages mismatches. '78 turbo manifolds may work on the earlier V6's better.

You're best bet IMO is to find a complete 79/80 Turbo 231. Later models run off an ECM.

Get a book called V-6 Performance by Pat Ganahl. It details the early and later V6's well.
