Turbo Max Chip?

I was browsing ebay and found these chips. They don't look like they fit in the ECU socket. They look more like they are plug-n-play devices. Does anyone know about these. Are they any good and what do they do. I have a email the seller a question but I am not very patient so I wanted a response from my Turbo Regal community.

It looks like it goes inline to the wastegate solenoid. I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.........

Yeah, the seller got back to me andit does plug into the wastegate solenoid. I don't know what exactly it is supposed to do but it won't be going on my car.

I'm sure the old timers will chime in on this. I remember this was discussed a long time ago on TB.com. In fact, I remember I had to give the explanation on how this thing worked. And BTW, you don't want this thing....
