Turbo Question: Can the exhaust housing be rotated?

Can the exhaust housing be rotated relative to the oil lines in the center cection? I know the intake housing can be rotated as long as the waste gate actuator lines up with the valve. The turbo is of an 87 Gn if it matters.

Yup.The bolts can be cranky though.What kind of shape is the turbo in?You may find it tough to do.

The Turbo is in great condition, I took off the compressor housing and it it was really nice and cleaned up with just some starting fluid. Ill soak it with some liquid wrench and give it a try.

If the turbo is off,it might be easier to pull the housing,clean it up,antisieze the bolts[hi-temp,copper or nickel],clean the faces of the dog dish and housing,bolt holes,etc.,then put it together and re-align it.This makes life so-o-o-o much easier.
