Which version is this? Will I have to pay extra to upgrade or since I have this one can I upgrade for free?

It's version 2.13 The latest version use a different cable/electronics so you would need to upgrade (send in this cable etc) see link I posted in the original post at the top for this ... so you would get the latest version cheaper doing the upgrade than just buying it.
