I'm working on a VehiclePak that will be released sometime next week (if testing goes well). I've heard several comments that indicate that folks really like the Syclone/Typhoon and F-Body BLACK background screens. I have an opportunity to change the Turbo Regal screens, if everyone wants it (and no, you can't have both! :) That would require quite a bit of coding and might destabilize the baseline).

SO ... which background would you like for the Turbo Regal screens?

Ken,

I thought the black background of V3.0.1 was easier to read "on the fly" in bright sunlight when the laptop sat on the front seat.

I'd like the Syclone dash to have the boost guage just as a vac/pressure guage, so you could see idle and cruise condition K/Pa on it.

Sy dash otherwise is fine in my book.

I've never used TL, but perhaps I can still offer my thoughts. I use software at work that has a white background for daytime and you click a button and it turns black. Writing turns green. The white background is very hard on the eyes at night, but the black is harder to read in daytime. Since TLink has gauges and not size 10 writing, it'd probably be good. Just my .02.

Got most of the screens reworked, so we should be releasing a VehiclePak next week. I'll announce it here when it is available.

Thanks!

Please include a 0-3 bar option for the boost guage.
Pretty please.....

Maybe even in K/Pa.
Maybe a %DC on the dash?

While of no particular matter to the average guy, these lil details would just put you way over any of the other scanners for the 749 out there, IMO.

0-3 BAR as opposed to PSI? Or KPa instead of PSI?

Or?

Email me offline and maybe I can do a special version for you Bruce ... maybe with both on different gauges (it has to do with the way we parse XML and the control unit conversions...

%DC requires a fairly significant change in the XML processing we do (probably be coming in the next major code release ... working on something really neat!)

As always, it's a limitation of the ECM, not TurboLink.

GN ECM is a frame every second or so.

With a Sy/Ty, Vette, F-body - 10/11 frames per second (over 100 parameters).

The good news is that now you have almost unlimited recording time (until you fill up the harddisk!) :)
