For monitoring passes down the track, DS because of the fast update rate. For just tuning, TL because its easy to install...just plug in the ALDL and its portable to one car to the next. TL update rate is only a frame every 1.5 seconds, but it does have a boost sensing option which you don't get with DS....but I just watch my Boost guage and KR gauge.
