TV limit valve shimming to increase shift points?

no you must remove the valve body to accomplish this.if it wot shifting at 5200 though there are other problems.

Shifting way to early in auto at 4300 rpm wot. Can hold to 5200 easy by manual shifting. Would like it to shift at 5200 in auto. Thought about doing the gov. but TV limit shimming was suggested as a more correct method. What is your opinion Chris? I have the correct BRF VB and Gov. Shift points are just to low at WOT in Drive.

Anybody done this to solve early shift problems in auto?
Also want to install a deep pan kit. Anyone got one for sale?

a crossleak into the governor upshift oil circuit will also cause problem.shimming only works to raise shift points when everything else is working proper which it isnt.what is the max throttle 2/3 shift at?

The 2-3 upshift is higher around 5000 with a good firm shift. Using factory tach.
