Whats the "boost retard" hes talking about?

I have a blower I want to put on my 67' 327 that would push 8lbs boost ... the ONLY reason the blower isnt installed, is because I am planning a full rebuild ( pistons to keep the cr down).

Can I just install this switch and be good?! Hmmm ---

The boost retard system is an add on box that will pull timing out with boost. It needs to work through an MSD ignition system. Will pull up to three degrees of timing per pounds of boost.

As far as times for the car it is still a work in progress. If you boost a big block Buick you basically have to invent everything that you do. Also have to be careful about how much power you make. The block gets real shakey over 600HP so have to be careful about how hard you thrash those antiques.

Will have to see how my Procharged 455 project goes this summer. Just a few tweeks and we can put boost to it. Looking to do 5 psi and get 600 hp. Then will have to do some work and go to 8psi and see if we get to 700hp.

8.50 1/8 mile? Are the turbos even hooked up?

No $HIT huh!? 8.50 1/8 mile translates to a 13.26 1/4 mile.

My car runs 13.20-13.30s, maybe I have a twin turbo big-block? I better go look under the hood again, I was told I had a V6.

My opinion is if you are going to show off and create a name for your car like this guy has, then (1) it better be real nice (show car quality), or (2) it better run.

It does none of the above.

But in the end all that matters is the owner is happy....
