Alright fight fans who’s got their money on whom? I think Shaun Sherk will win his title fight but I would love to see Hermes Franca pull off a submission. I'll give the next title fight to Anderson Silva because I don't know much about Nate Marquardt. Now I want to know who thinks whose going to win the Rashad Evans Vs. Tito Ortiz. I'd put my money on Tito but regardless that will be a great fight. the rest of the card is packed with great fights too. Mike Nickels Vs. Stephan Bonnar, Heath Herring Vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira those two fights will be battles.

Rashad should knockout Tito, If Tito thought he got hit hard by the Iceman as he layed there like a snapping curdog. Tito flat layed down and quit ,wait till Rashad nails him. Rashad nailed the Iceman so hard he didn't know where he was. Sometimes some fighting styles neutralize another or a certain fighter has your number. Bubbalu one of the best submission artists get knocked out which I picked against Liddell, Bubbalu has a glass jaw and was knocked out before, now if he gets you down you play into his domain/hand and he will submit you man he is good at submissions.

Now Tito looked good ransacking Ken Shamrock and was all over him like white on rice, the young dog outpowered the old-dog, but come on Ken was an old battledog that's been to the well one too many times.

Bonner is a game scrapper and should win. Noriega should have his way very rough.Silva should win as well.

Matt Serra said : 'That on any given day/night any fighter can get caught by a haymaker or make the wrong move and get submitted.' Matt was the Underdog not even Mike White thought he'd beat his New Poster Boy George St.Pierre. Serra himself has a glass jaw and is the only man I've seen get knocked out by a spinning backhand, and then in a rematch where he was on reality UFC show either 4or5 he almost got caught again by the same guy(Jones?)in the semis with the same punch, he got hit/grazed and his knees buckled his eyes rolled and he almost went down and fought back in the fear mode.

Who would have ever thought Matt Serra even with his very good jujitsu, great ground weak standup would beat St. Pierre the new breed of fighter, the guy who just knocked out Matt Hughs, Matt Hug hesdidn't know where he was. Serra wins a contract and that fight was ho hum:o and he gets the priviledge to fight ST.Pierre and it over before St.Pierre even gets started.

Details???? I shoulda bought this but I thought I'd have other plans. Who won which fight?? Any links???

That was Shonie Carter that knocked Serra out with the back fist. He does that stuff all the time in training and I wasn't suprised when he caught Serra.

Sherk won by decision. Hermes had some great reversals lost due to lack of striking but had some hard hitting knees. Silvia won by KO. Draw between Ortiz and Evans. Herring lost but had a good knock down kick to the head and could have won. All in all a good fight night. That was one of the better fight cards the UFC has had in awhile.

In the picture that’s me and Shonie at an amateur event.

Man the name just wouldn't come to me but your right Shonie Carter, don't know why I forgot his name as he was the most crazy of all the guys in the house. In that 1st fight Shonie was behind until he nailed Serra perfect on the jaw, now I've seen noses broke but not a knock out it was the perfect back fist , he went down like a sack of potatos. In watching the show when they had their rematch , you could tell Serra was leary of Shonie throwing that back fist and getting caught again and it was only a matter of time until Shonie threw it. He threw it in every fight. It hit Serra but wasn't on the button, his knees got wobbly and he went into a clinch immediately so he could buy some time to recover.

Well as mentioned in the other post, some fighting styles neutralize another, sometimes it's a lack luster fight, the undercard is better then the main event. Didn't watch the fight but my guess would be since Tito can ground fight he needed to get Rashad on the ground to take his punching power away. Therfore neutralizing Rashad's style. Where as the Iceman wanted to trade punches, bang it out, well he lost that exchange

I assume you work out with Shonie or you must fight out of the same area?, on the show he was pretty eccentric but hey he can get the job done. By the way you could tell your either were a wrestler or like your sig says jitsu, your startin to fold over, gettin those califlower ears you get from doing either for awhile..

Did Noriega win? I should of went across the street the guys across the street workout at Jackson's Gaidojujitsu, Diego Rivera is out of that fight camp. He lost his last fight, that wrestler took it to him, he looked dehydrated, there's an old saying "Too light no Bite!", his fight before was good though he looked good not all emmaciated. He fought that Diesel dude who was saying I'm going to knock Diego out my boxing skills are 3 years ahead of his. Think his mouth piece said Good Night Diego. Any way They both throw left hooks and Diego's connects puts Diesel on his butt as he leans forward to get up Diego is already on his way to pound on him well Diego catches the guy with his left knee and the guy is laid out and Diego is on him. It was over for Diesel before he could use that vast experience.

Does Serra still have his title?? Or is that the one that Sherk has now?? Watched the fight anyway and I guess Rashad better stop tap dancing and throw some punches cuz Tito would've won without the penalty!!:(

I have my Purple Belt in BJJ...

anyone else? I started in 1996 and have been teaching for the last year in the local gym. I have been to Rickson, Royce, Renzo, Ralph Gracie seminars. I have also trained with Gokor, Mario Sperry, Oleg, Roy Harris and Frank Shamrock. I might go to the Eddie Bravo seminar next week if my job will allow me the day off.
Overall, I really enjoyed last nights UFC card. Anderson Silva is very impressive along with "The Muscle Shark" Sean Sherk. Sherk looks like a human SPARK PLUG. Hey Sparky!
I think Randy C. is in trouble next UFC however. Hopefully the next card will as entertaining. Later.

TTA w/ 31k, Turbo Tweak 93 Street Chip , Racetronix High Performance Fuel Pump Kit w/ Hotwire , Hooker Cat-Back w/Aero Chamber Muffler, Caspers VPlus Volt Booster , Adjustable Fuel Regulator , ATR Maf w/K&N and soon to have Julio's Alky.

Dude I wanna train with you. I've only been training jujitsu for the last nine years with a little wrestling and boxing before that while still in high school.

Man I can't get fighters right it was Rampage who took the Iceman out not Rashad. Earlier could'nt remember Shonie Carter from Jones. Actually Rashad Evans trains here in Albuquerque with Keith Jardene and Diego Sanchez at Greg Jackson Fight Club.

Turbojitsu85 9years that's awesome . How many local fights/MMA fights do you have under your belt if you don't mind me asking? I'm sure you can bang and grapple. You plan on fighting in the UFC?

In HighSchool early 70'swrestled,Kempo,early 80's Boxed GG and Toughman in Alaska 12w 2L(decisions,losses non the less), 90's MAKA(Modern Americam Karate Assoc.) under Eric Lamb he was the Father of MAKA..mid 90's jacked back 2 fusions an a lamenectomy now I'm lucky to wipe my own a$$ or tie my shoe laces somedays. so I love watching the Art of Fighting any form....nothing like watching a good fight, of coarse it was more fun being in there yourself.

I've had alot of jujitsu competitions. Wins and losses are too many to keep track of same with Pankration. Last competed in the NAGA jujitsu 3 yrs ago here here in Chicago and lost my first match by 1 point. As far as MMA it's been years since I competed had two fights lost one by decision won one by arm bar. I fought in one IKF (international kickboxing federation) fight and won by decision. I had to stop taking blows to the head 5 years ago when I was walking out of a friends apartment in Bridgeport a local neighborhood just outside of Chicago when 12 guys some with golf clubs decided to rob me. I fought them off as best I could and wound up with 13 staples a fractured skull and a broken nose. The guy they mugged across the street before I had walked outside lived in a coma for 3 months then died. So to make along story short no more getting hit in the head for me. All I do now is train jujitsu and lift weights.

Robbery

Man thank God your alive man that's terrible about the guy that died. They convict any of those thugs?12 punks that fight in a pack never one on one. Yeah you don't need anymore headshots not worth it at all no matter how bad you want to get in there. Well take care of yourself good talking with you.
