Keeping my GN the same otherwise, will I notice much of a difference in performance off the line if I pull the stock converter and put in something with a higher stall?

Stock turbo...stock injectors....better flowing air in and out...alky...

I just feel she takes a long time to get up and going, even if I hold the brake and gas.

I have an external trans cooler and shift kit already. Anything else I need if I raise the stall point?

I want to keep it lock up for when I freeway cruise.

Anybody else had a mostly stock TR and just done that one mod and felt an increase?

should be a bear already sounds like you have a tuning issue or exhaust leaks somewhere. i would invest in a rjc bleeder will help spool up. and yes you will notice a big diference going to a bigger stall first off dont go bigger than 2800 if you plan on staying stock to a 44 turbo second if you go to a 10 inch you will gain in throttle response and off idle performance because you are taking rotating mass off of crank and third it brings your torque curve closer so you will leave making more torque so you will need sticky tires!!!!! if you come off the line lets say 2200 rpm you are probably making 300 foot pounds ot torque now if you come off the line at 2800 to 3000 you probably will me making 350 to 400 pounds of torque

Ok...let me restate things....

I have no exhaust leaks....she spools up fine..just slower than I want. :-)

I want to get things moving sooner.

then try the 49 dollar part before investing in a convertor 300 to 500dollars

I had a boost controller but sold it. Didn't like the fluttering of boost.

Might try it again.

For some reason I just want a new converter. Must be the holidays :)

then go for it i would recommend a 10 pats convertor 2800 to 3000 stall. as for the fluttering sounds like you hadthe wastegate to loose.
