Okay folks, I got an EGT meter off of ebay with dual inputs-- not what I would have gone for from the store, but the price was right.

The question-- any advantage to taking advantage of the two inputs, and where to place it? I'm thinking along the lines of one probe in the standard spot and the other downstream of one particular cynlinder believed to run the hottest.

Has anyone run 2 probes and see anything that makes you think that it's worth the extra $$ for the second thermocouple?

thanks!
Scott

My Fluke came with a small type K flexible wire thermocouple.

I stuck that in input 2 and use it in my center vent for A/C and heat tests. :)

from what I've read here, cyl #3 and/or #5 run the hottest & leanest.

So that would seem to be a possibility for the 2nd TC probe.

I have 6, 1/8NPT probe ports welded into my headers, but they're being coated and I haven't actually tried it yet. (Most of the ports will remain plugged, I don't intend to run 6 probes!).
