I am of the philosophy thats its best to do your own work on your own car whenever possible. So, I would like to know if anyone knows of any training materials (video/cdrom) pertaining to the 2004r. I have not had any luck with web searches except for the "principals of operation" book on helms site. I know I can learn these trans with some instruction. Also, I have access to a 200c for free. How close is this for a dissassembly/reassembly practice transmission? I did find a 7004r rebuild video. Would this be of any value? Thanks!

I have a Haynes techbook manual that I purchased from Advanced Autoparts that is an overhaul manual for the THM200-4R, 350, 400, 700-R4. Its a very detailed book with photographs of every step of the teardown and rebuild process. A very good book if you are going to rebuild transmission yourself. The book number is 10360. It sells for about $19.00 and is worth every penny
