Bought it new from Dal about 3 years ago...installed it about a year ago. Really didn't notice any problem till I installed my TE62 with stock wastegate. (Previously had it on a PT51 with HD wastegate)

Checked today and found a .0430" bit will go into the hole, but a .0465" will not.

What does an undersize restrictor hole do to boost?? I had read that there was a previous batch at .035"...does this one mean they can be any size??

Got a .052" bit...should I drill it out??

Thanks, Bob

I was having over boost problems on my friends Buick after installing a new Ta-49 turbo. I enlarged the resrictor hole from about .045 to about .052 or 1/16in drill bit size and it dropped boost 1-2psi to were we wanted it. This was after we pulled the exhaust housing and ported the wastegate hole to puck size. Spool-up stayed the same for us.
