Speedtalk engine section.
referring to WB sensors:
"I have to repeat what was stated at the beginning of the thread. My LM-1 worked for about a week then wouldn't connect to the laptop again. The multichannel input adapter never worked.
Their solution is to send it back and spend more to upgrade to the new one. LM2?
Just another piece of useless crap I've wasted money on IMHO.
There are two devices involved in the download, did you ever consider it was the computer causing the difficulty? Some Windows versions can be set up so the com port is assigned a new number each time it is used and the LM-1 wants to connect to “Com 1”. The number needs to be selected and assigned so it will not change, unbeknownst to you, and cause confusion. Don’t ask me how I know. This is so with any device that uses com ports, not only Innovate, any use of com ports may require dealing with this."
Mite this explain problems w/ loss of communication, not only w/ WB's but other systems??
Speed Talk: Interviews - Racing Books - Racing Forum... A great place to "hang out, hide and watch"!
