WELDS for Cage

I would like to know what is the size of Welding Rods when doing a Roll Cage?
1/8`` ???

Are you talking tig or stick, I assume Tig, I use .045" to .06" dia, max of .093"

1/16 is what I use. The smaller the filler, the less heat you have to keep in the puddle to melt the filler. If the filler is too small, you end up spending a lot of time pushing filler into the puddle. 1/16" is best all around for material sizes you see in a cage.
