Be safe getting out of there! It looks like IKE is going to try to pour a little whoop ass on DFW too. I can only imagine what it is going to be like there in the Houston / Baytown area.

Yeah it's gonna be a fun one:mad:, i'm in Pearland just a little south of Houston

I'm in Pearland. I evacuated with the Buick and fled to College Station. Got home on Sunday with a tree on the garage, one laying in the backyard and the other one in the back did a knockout punch on the new back fence. There was also about 50 pounds of leaves and debris in the pool. We thanked the Almighty for the power coming back on around 7:30pm Sunday night. I feel bad for the people behind us because they are still without power.

Glad you and the buick are safe!

We actually did better than Rita, power was only out for 6 days and cable (internet) for 10 days. Unfortunately, our friends and coworkers in Orange county are totally ruined. Out of 3800 homes in Bridge City, only 14 had no flood-water damage! Have been relatively unable to find out about the Houston/Galveston area due to our "internet shortage". I will NOT make any assumptions based on national news or the weather channel's info!

My electricity was finally turned back on today. All appliances work except the `fridge, hopefully just the compressor relay. No major damage, just trees down in the yard. Got water in the rear floorboard of my my '85 T Type, drove thru approx 1.5' of water, good excuse to replace carpet. No water in drivetrain. The '86 was up on jackstands, in the garage covered with 2 car covers, 6 blankets. We will reschedule Niftee50ees event next month. Has anyone heard from Ed Lucas?
