What is involved in turning up boost

I have an adjustible waist gate so what all do I have to do?

loosen the nut on the wastegate rod. turn the rod either in(make it shorter) for more boost or out(make it longer) for less boost.

The more boost, the harder the tension is on the rod. So, pull it hard to get it back on the puck arm. HTH
