I have all alpine, and it is great. Been pulled over 3 times for it. Alpine isnt the loudest brand, but it is one of, if not THE best sound quality sub for the money. I have one 12" type r on an alpine mono amp pushing it more than it needs (mrp-m350) which they can easily handle. I had 600rms on it for a week and it took it like a trooper. The insides of my trunk is rhino-lined so it keeps all the bass in, and i have a perfect competition box for it. I would go two type r's, but i dont want the weight in my car. My sub/amp cost me $250 altogether. For an all alpine system, you are looking at $400-$750 depending on model, but i suggest the R's or X's.
