When I bought the MSD 50's for my car I ordered the 100 octane chip. I should have asked for more details.
Although I was warned to not use pump gas with the 100 chip, I have been able to run 18 PSI with almost no KR. With colder air I'll get about 8* KR on 93 octane. With GT-100, I can run 22-23 PSI with zero KR.
