What would be needed to make a 109 block a dependable motor to run in 9.70 or so range starting with parts crank, rods , hyd. roller or solid roller cam, and could you get away with iron heads or need gn1 heads. Also could it be done with stock ported headers.

As far as turbo and converter goes how big and who's.

A decent tsm combo in a front engine dragster would run that number standing on its Head!
 
You would need Samantha from Bewitched to turn your 109 into a stage motor with a wiggle of her nose...

All very funny guys here, but I have read a few guys going into the 9's with there 109 motors. So where's the magic coming from David Copperfield.:D
 
i think its more faith in a higher power....


if you want to go that fast for any length of time build something very light! the Regal chassis aint doing anyone any favors with the fact thats it a fat pig!

Light weight is where it's at. Why try to do what's already been done several times. Do it the easy way and put a mild motor in a light car and you can race all season with hardly any maintenance.
