I'm helping a friend with a lil turbo project, it's seeming like a T3 is the turbo best suited to the application, question is, which 1, how much should we expect to pay, etc.

THE COMBO:
1937 hot rod, desoto cowl, chevy rear section, fenderless, no more than 2000lbs.
stock rebuilt 392 "hemi" (9.0:1comp) T5, mopar 8 3/4" 3.23's ??
twin turbos, intercooled,carb'd,

car will be driven very often, and driven on the next power tour, spool up is the biggest concern, as i'd expect the fact it is carb'd being it's biggest potential hp limitation
I've looked at the PTE website and see there are quite a few turbos for under 700$ but i'd be surprised if a stock GN turbo would not be adequate,
Do these turbo's have "built in" waistegates??

Any advise is greatly appreciated

THANKS

Ask PTE.

Two stock GN turbos should be more than enough. The wastegate hole is in the exhaust housing of the turbo. The wastegate puck and actuator arm are in the downpipe or elbow. The wastegate actuator (diaphram, bracket, and rod) is often an add-on to the price of the turbo.
