Hey all. Hope someone wouldnt mind making a sugestion..Its been a while since my 2004r rebiuld, (somewhere in 2001 I think)..Well I started back into it middle of last year, and as posted here, I found me a CZF core to biuld up .
I have torn down the tranny into sections(havnt pulled individual packs apart yet). Just been waiting and saving up some cash over the winter to buy an overhaul and shift kits.
Now so far I am under the impression that this trans is unmodded, but i have yet to measure the boost valves..
I do have an old .500" boost valve and 10 vein pump kit that matches the pump exactly as it came apart.
Also believe I have enough frictions and steels without buying a full kit.(plenty of spair parts)..This is not considering any upgraded frictions.
With all that being mentioned and aside form buying at min a BRF apply piston and shift kit...What other mods should I seriously be considering given the above mentioned power goals(13-low 12 sec power range).
some of the things i was thinking:
upgraded band?
anchor pin?
should i forget the .500" boost and get a newer bigger valve kit?
I remeber last biuld i swapped in a roller thrust bearing in somwhere there wasnt one.
any packs that really need upgarded frictions at this level?
In a related post back in Sept.An alto clutch kit for stock setup and wide band was sugested
I have been reading alot in searches, but it seems to be mods for some hi powered cars..
also being a CZF trans, should I consider the tv plunger I see on the PTS site for later kickdown???
lots a questions , I know, but appreciate anyone that wouldnt mind shootin some advice..obviously this is a small budget , just want to get it straight before I start making parts orders..

P.S. not sure if this matters , but fairly stock long block with exception of an aftermarket cam(thats what I have to put in..think its 204/214??)modded D5 or n/l 9"AC not sure yet..it will either be stock 86/87 turbo or old school cheetah..
