I picked up a new vibration after a couple 1/4 passes last month...haven't run it since, but it only came on when I was under load (noticed it on the trip back home from the track)

The vib isn't there if I'm just holding my speed....but if load is put on the car, then it vibrates.

I've checked head gasket via compression and it is fine, so I doubt it is engine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

You may have already dont the basics, but have you checked for a plug or a wire breaking down under load?

Well, before the crank sensor went out the next day...I got on it and it pulled just as hard as it did at the track.

...turned the corner, mashed it for fun....sideways for a split second and...poof...the engine was magically shut down (talk about a heart attack...thinking I just blew it!!). Sooo, I'm guessing that everything with the engine is fine.

I guess I'm just wondering what convertors do when they go bad...I've had experience with the transmission failing before, but it never vibrated.

Thanks,

Mark
