I've heard stories of people jamming hundreds in books on thier bookshelf, and then some lucky person pays $1 for the whole stack at auction, then garage sales or flea markets half of the books before someone comes back and tells them to check the rest. I'd bet that for every stash found, there's three or four that never get discovered.

Still a really cool story though. Good for them for returning it. They will get the best sleep of anyone for the next year.

Probly get an 8 ball and rent a couple ho's, party all nite and hit up foxwoods sometime around sunrise :biggrin:...nah but seriously probly only 1 ho ...no seriously id like to think i'd give it back, seen enough to know that karma can be a real beeyatch! My luck i'd probly get some bad stuff, get an std, lose all the money and then some gambling and end up sleeping it all off right thru work on monday and loose my job :redface:

My old boss was cleaning out his wifes grandmothers house and they found money everywhere. they found it is pockets of jackets in every closet. They gave him a big twin motor Craftsman vacuum cleaner and it was stuffed with cash. They were rich to begin with so it was no big deal.

The article didn't mention a reward. They should give them $5k or $10k as a reward

Since this was all over the news I wonder if the IRS will be looking for a inheritance tax.

I would have returned it also.....man, that's one of the most touching story I've read in a very long time.
