Do a search for 36mm swaybar... many threads about this mod

F-body Sway Bar- 36mm
Late '80s - early '90s F-bodies (Camaro/ Firebird) Z28, IROC, Trans Am.
They come in different sizes, 36mm is the largest.
Moog makes bushings to install on the G-body.
Note: The hollow bars only came on 3rd gen Camaro/Firebirds that came from the factory with 16" tires. In other words don't waste your time looking in the V-6 powered cars.

Its a cheap upgrade that makes the car handle better. I think I got less than $100 in my setup including the swaybar shipped to me, and the poly endlinks and bushings. Works good on my car.

I believe it isn't that much of a improvement in handling. It is more that the Iroc bar weights less than the stock GN bar does.

and what is the effect of the lower weight?
improved handling.
but the lower weight alone won't make that much of a difference- the ability of the bigger bar to hold the car flatter thru corners is where the real benefit is.

36mm is hollow so it's lighter. It's actually stiffer too. I got one on mine. Be careful as there are 34mm bars out there too from F-Body cars. GN is solid 32mm.

16" tires = WS6
what i want to know is, how do u adapt an f-body WS6 rear bar to our cars? is there an instalation kit or something? i have one but the ends are different, and i dont like drilling holes.

the rear bars on f bodies work differently than they do on G bodies- they are fastened to the axle tubes with what looks almost like muffler clamps, and the end links go up to the floor board.
shouldn't be too hard to make it work- in fact, a few years ago, some aftermarket company "invented" a new sway bar for G bodies that looks a lot like every sway bar that was mounted to every F body from 67-02..
