When adjusting the TV cable??

How do you adjust the TV cable to make the trans shift quicker? Or I guess you could say to lower the shift points?

push the tv cable in for early shifts out towards the winshield for later shifts. you have to push in the release first.

Mostly the shift points are determined by the governor in the trans, but if you have the cable pushed towards the fan, you can't get into overdrive until 45-50 mph. If that is the problem adjust towards the firewall.

If you installed a different cam, and raised the powerband a lot, then you want earlier shifts. Most of us don't benefit by this as the torque from our motors help you at lower rpms.

I copuld be wrong on the direction, I havn't messed with the TV cable in a while...
