where can I get the correct speedo drive gear (plastic gear in trans that speedo cable bolts to)for my 84/87 gn?no local parts houses have it.

if i remember correctlly,unscrew speedo cable,remove one bolt,remove small retainer,and gain access to drive gear.it slides out.

thanks Bruce,I should get my gear anyday :biggrin: .looking foward to a more accurate speedo,and the engine not cutting off before i can pass someone!

p.s. Bruce, how much/if any fluid will i lose when i swap out gears (if i keep car level?)

Not much

but try to either have rear end higher or at least the car leaning the the right.
Good Luck. Easy deal , IF the speedo bullet comes out. If it is a eastern car or mid west car, sometimes they rust in.
