Who seems to make the best Chips? And what about DFI w/o chips?

Some say chips are great, and others say screw chips DFI all the way!!!

DFI costs a lot more than any chip. most say go w/a maxeffort and T+ setup for ultimate tunability w/a chip. DFI is pretty cool though. if i had the $$$ i would go DFI b/c of the endless tuning capabilities

What are you looking to do?.
For a cruiser, chips are fine.
If you're going to get into really going fast, then your going to have to do some programming of your own.
While the aftermarket ecms are easy to work with, it's because they lack the sophisication of the oem one. If you want fast with manners, then a stock ecm can't be beat, but the power is in the programmer.

A huge reason for the aftermarket ecms to exist is that it takes so many chips to find one that works, unless your doing your own chips.

As an inbetween, you have a Translator, and a ME. Using both of them with a decent chip is a good option.
