I chatted with him at Firebird last Friday and ended up leaving after my damn Poston 2 piece crossover pipe came apart on my run. I totally forgot to weld that sucker up.

Anyway, just curious how the track treated you that night?

ACLR8R, thats me. I saw you leaving, just thought you had enough of the poor conditions. I ended up only getting 2 runs in. I found out that my posi gave up. First run was 15.3 at 104 spinning one tire through the 330 mark. Then I went a little easier on the launch (but still spun) and went 13.3 at 109 with a 2.16 60ft. It sucked  I just got a rebuild kit for the posi, that I will put in this weekend. Planning on running next friday if it is open.
Sorry to hear about the exhaust, just wasnt a good night for racing. :D

When you launched your left tire went up in smoke.

It was a bad night for me. My first run was 14.7@109 with a 2.8 60ft. I had the tires lit up the whole quarter mile. Second run was 13.1 at 105 because I had to get out of it three times. Third run was 16.7 thanks ro the pipe and I lost to a plain Neon. On top of that my drivers side window switch broke, I sprung a new oil leak from the drivers side valve cover, had to hammer my crossover pipe in to get home, and then ended up stuck on the freeway inbetween a guy singing Jesus stuff on one side and a chick singing NIN Star F*#kers on the other (that part was funny).

Anyway, I need to get around to building my shop so I can rebuild the motor in my beast.

It was good seeing another TR owner out there. Are you in the East valley?

Sounds like you had a fun night :D
I live in the east valley (Higley and Pecos), I see you are Queen Creek probably not to far away.

You're right up the street from me. I'm off Hawes just south of Queen Creek Rd. GNergy and AZVic are in the area also. We'll have to get a BBQ going sometime. It's hard for me to get away from the house though. I have a 9 month old and a honey do list a mile long. :D

Were you guys running slicks?...I've never heard of Firebird being that bad...was the whole track slick or just from the launch?...

Mike,

have you heard from Terry in the recent months?
It's been about 4 months since i have spoken to him.

PM me his local number if you have it. All i have is his ohio number.

thanks
Dathan

I had MT ET Streets on. 26X11.5X15's. Never had any problem with them before. ACLR8R had Nittos. The whole track seemed pretty bad. There were alot of people complaining. However there were a few out there hooking. I was in the left lane all three runs. Maybe the right was good.

Dathan, I haven't heard from Terry in quite awhile myself. I can't find his # right now, but will PM you if I can dig it up.
