What does it take to run a wide band O2? Is it worth it? How can it be made to work in a street/strip daily driver?

It is used to monitor your a/f ratio. U fill need to put in a second 02 sensor in ur downpipe and tune usingthat number not the numbers from ur stock narrowband. There fairly cheap got mine from innovate. Came with everything gauge u2 sensor etc. Otherthen putting in a new bung in the DP there cake to install

I would defiantly buy one with ur mods and matched with a turbo tweak 6.0 chip u can set a target a/f u want. Makes the car that much safer

WB and chip

please explain how the TT chip and wb work together. Does the ecm see the wb readings?
The WB connects to a PowerLogger. The PowerLogger (PL) connects to the ECM. The TT6 chip reads the WB AFR via the PL then compares it to a user adjustable AFR, adding or subtracting fuel to match the target.

The purpose for the closed loop AFR adjustment is to improve performance rather than driveability or gas milage. So the TT6 chip only monitors AFR when you get into the throttle. It actually has several target AFRs so you can "tweak" 1st/2nd gear, 2nd/3rd, mid boost (all gears) as well as other things such as spark advance.

Great timing on this question. I am looking into adding a WB as well and have been reading and reading. Thanks for your easily understandable answer.

So I need to buy:

1. Wideband o2 like this one --> TurboTweak - Turbo Buick Custom Chips and Parts
2. The Power Logger --> FULL THROTTLE SPEED - Turbo Buick Power Logger Scan Tool
and
3. TT 6.0 Chip Upgrade --> TurboTweak - Turbo Buick Custom Chips and Parts

Sound about right?

You can also get the Innovate XD-16 guage from Full Throttle. Might as well take a look to compare?

Do I need to run a laptop all the time for the car to work? If not what is the downfalls? also will an autometer NV series wideband O2 work with the turbo tweat chip?

No you do not need to run with a laptop connected for this setup to work. A laptop is used initially to configure PL then later its only used when you want to see what the sensors are doing or you want to log data while driving.

As for Autometer NV series WB being compatible, you'll have to check with Eric (Turbo Tweak). I have to say though that I don't see that brand of WB in the PL configuration choices.
