Will it hurt the trans if converter never locks?

Recently replaced my tired stock trans with a built 200r4 9/11 converter had no problems with lock up before swap.Im just wondering if it will hurt to drive it until i figure out the problem?any suggestions?thank you

i read some where ?? that the trans may create excessive heat while cruising at high speeds. ???

Are you running a trans cooler ? If not do so and its ok to run for awhile.

Im running it through the radiator but i have a cooler that i am going to install.what about long term if it wont ever lock?

I ran mine for about 6 mo without lockup gas milage suffered a little. Mentally missed lockup just a smoother rideand less noise.

Fluid temps will be high at highway speeds. I would get it locking asap.

X2^^^, overheat in 4th/OD.
The new Tran's internal wiring may be different from your old Trans.
