stock stall is fine! that should be your first upgrade, for anyone.
right after you bolt on another 4 engines to spool that thing.
I can think of two bigger ones i've seen. at work we needed a lake drained, so we contraced it out. the company that came in had this pump that was probably 5' in diameter 10-12 feet tall. 2' outlet hose that flowed something like 120,000 gallons a minute. i didnt' even think of how they were powering it untill i saw this unsuspecting semi trailer open its doors. how long is that usual semi trailer, 45 feet or so? in the front was a huge fuel tank, probably took up the front 5 or so feet, the rest was all motor. twin turbo diesel, i think i later heard it was a 20 cylinder generator. anyways, i could have put my head in the inlet on those turbos.
the other one i saw on tv, for one of the super tankers there building. the part on the crank shaft the connecting rod bolts to was about 6" in diameter, if that gives you any idea how big this was. they didn't specificaly show the turbos but i did catch a glimse of one in the background if i had to guess i'd say it was about 10' tall, outlet was probably somewhere around 4-5'. it looked like they seperated the turbine from the compressor.
crazy stuff.
