cause popping? No cross counts at idle. At wot o2's in the 400 range. (older heated one) Thanks, Dave

Dunno about the popping, but the numbers above tell me the O2 is hooped. Do you have a non-heated oem type O2 to try just to confirm the numbers seen are incorrect? Of course, you could be extremely lean and the numbers/popping would jive. What's your FP set at? What mods are on your car etc... more info would be helpfull in diagnosing this.
Jim

fp set at 43-45lb line off. bosch340(new). 009's new. ta49new. v4 1 yr old. 0 o2 cross counts. Heated o2 about 2+yrs.old. Been running 110 leaded. J.L. 100+ chip. installed power plate covering egr.(didn't drill a hole for it.) Boost at 19.5lb.

grey1 , I just did the same thing . KILLED THE o2 sensor w/leaded race fuel 110 oct. Just replace w/ new (1) wire non heated o2. and get another one to use at the track w/ leaded fuels, and another on to use on the street w/ whatever unleaded pump gas you like. tune for NO KNOCK!! and have fun!

I would guess your O2 is bad. My heated O2 lasted about 2 or 3 trips to the track. Not any longer than the non heated one. Swap in a new non heated one to see if that solves your problem. When my heated O2 died, it would read .000 at WOT.

I would put in a new 02 sensor at the track, and get about 4-5 runs at the track, then on my way home about 5 miles from the track it would throw a code saying the 02 is bad. So less than 10 miles before c116 would kill an 02 sensor. I was buying them at ramchargers @ 6 for $120.

I tried the heated ones and they lasted about 3 times to the track, so for the money, they weren't any better.

I gave up on inaccurate readings from the 02 and sending chips back and forth to be tweaked, and bought a MaxEffort thumbwheel chip.

Oh, sounds like your 02 is busted. Buy them cheap at ramchargers!

Thanks to all!!! Just replaced my o2 sensor and took it for a spin. Or.....did it take me for one.:D My o2 counts are now normal and I was running 22lbs. boost w/ 47lbs line off and high 700's w/no knock. I had just put in a new wal 340 but don't have it hot wired yet. I got the pump and wiring from Racetronix. Time to TUNE!!! Thanks, Dave

SVTR1, glad I read this post. I was just ready to order a heated O2 tonight, but not now. I would like to add some 110 on occasion, but hate wasting a $30 sensor quickly. I tried some Xylene and it seemed to help.

But my question is by using a bad O2, is this ok, will the ecm provide fueling correctly? I know it will set a code and I can tune for no knock with the scanmaster. I did notice at the track my WOT O2's dropped after a few runs so I knew the sensor was dying and I just watched the kr. I'm hoping I can just put the old sensor in when I want to run high octane.

the 02 sensor makes no difference at WOT.......no input to the ecm....at idle and part throttle, different story......so you can run fine without one (at WOT).....may be awkward getting there if the 02 is no good in closed loop

Thanks azgn, I may just have to experiment to see how it runs at non-WOT. Or just run some Xylene in the T instead of high octane. Now I remember at WOT the car goes into PE mode :) . I just bought an extender for the GN and I am wanting to try full time open loop mode and see how it runs at non-WOT.
