Wrong governer effects

What would the effect on the tranny be if the wrong govoner was installed? Besides bad!

The most noticable things would be shift points and kickdown.

There is no such thing as a general replacement governor. They are different for many types of application.

a gn valve body without the gn governor would result in wot upshifts at around 4300 rpms or lower with any of the heavier gm governors.also you wont get passing gear easily above 10 mph in 1st,as well as the other ranges.in general the extra weight of the governor would result in earlier shifts in the whole operating range especially above 20 mph.
