Thing you guys are forgetting is that it takes having the 'life in prison' thing to get a conviction from some of these worthless jury's. There are so many useless liberal douchebag's who just wouldn't be able to convict someone if they thought it would mean that person's certain death. They'd rather put US in danger from that person's possiblity of 'rehabilitation' and parole. And as we've seen, that often means they do get out and go right back to what they've always done. So for now, we need to continue the fight to have CCW in every state and in every circumstance that a law abiding citizen should ever find themselves in. Including going to your place of employment. Even if that still means you leave it in the car in a secure parking lot. There should be no place that a rational and law abiding citizen should not have the ability to defend themselves from criminal's. The more who carry, the less crime there is, and the more societal attitude will change toward those who will just 'never be right'. And someday, if we continue to expand our self defense strategy, the punishment of offense can again become immediately after trial, without guaranteed appeal processes dragging on for years.
We've become entirely too soft. Too accepting of nonsense as a society. Too weak and too numb to reality. But as we slip into third world status, we're waking up again, getting angry and not taking it anymore. When enough of us do that there's only two possible outcomes. Criminal's get punished by us by the Law, and thru the Courts of Law. Or the Government fearing their own criminality comes for our means of self protection.
