If you haven't resolved your power roof problems yet....I just wanted to let you know that I have a complete unit out of my car sitting in a spare room. I been meaning to try to sell it for about the last 10 years but haven't got around to it. The car had less than 9K original miles on it and...
If you guys want to race with the Lightning guys I can arrange that and I promise we are not a bunch of ass holes......well....we are....but in a nice way
I really hope to have my turbo Lightning done by then.

Generally speaking if a buick blows a gasket towards the inside of the engine (under the intake manifold) there will be a lot of coolant leakage with it. Whats the oil look like ?
Dale
Real quick like....you may not be able to use anything other than an aluminum rod. Reason being, the shock absorbing quality of the rod. You may be stuck with a situation were you have to "drive thru" a certain amount of detonation and a steel rod won't tolerate that. IMO
If you have to keep...
What is your maximum ignition advance ? Is it locked down at full advance or does it have a curve? How quick does it reach 40lbs of boost ? I'm guessing less than one second here.
Is the fuel curve able to keep up with the boost response?
As far as power loss on the top end....what do...
The rod resizing opperation starts with cutting the cap or rod or both at the parting line and this is were the trouble starts.
I have have seen some extremely bad work in this area and it starts with the grinding machine that they use to cut the parting line. Some of those old machines...

It was tight, there's no doubt...I think it could go either way depending on how you bolted it down. If you pulled to hard on it with the manifold side screws it would probably rub. It mostly depends on how thick the spacers are also.
Dale
LOL....Todd has a lot of stuff crammed under his valve covers so it took lot of work to clear everything.
If you are running the standard shaft rocker and stayed with the 1.25 inch valve spring and the lift isn't over .500 I think you will be fine.
Your really should check the rocker...
When you grind a custom cam you have the option of choosing lobe centers also. Hi back pressure engines dont like or need overlap so its easiest to choose a smaller exhaust lobe and then advance it. This kills two birds with one stone, you get the exhaust opening where you want it for good blow...
