Yes, I am reaching with the price. But all that I have done to it you couldnt build it for that price. I have all receipts. 20 put into it.

What tool are you using. Ball joint fork? Or as some others have mentioned just smacking the hell out of the spindle to have it "release" the ball joint shaft?
I see a bunch of people have changed numerous times there springs, spindles etc.
How do you all do it without chewing up the rubber dust boots on the ball joints? Do you not use the ball joint forks?
Looking for the quickest and best way to separate the ball joint from the spindle...
Yeah, he tried pulling the old "I am a lawyer and I know where you live and work" crap.
Big pissing contest with me because he tried to rip me off. lol He is a joke.
I did get my money back thanks to paypal. What I dont understand is it was 100 bucks. If he doesnt have the part, and cant...
Was it AL? Thats the guys name who I was dealing with.
Anyways, he might very well be good for some other stuff, Pontiac and Corvette, but if he is willing to try to rip me off, you can bet he wont think twice of ripping someone else off as well.
OK, so I found this website
https://www.carmotorsports.com/proddetail.php?prod=AC_Olds
And obviously I wanted it. So I ordered and payed via paypal. After being told that he had 10 on the shelf, (yes, I called to verify) I ordered and then 3 weeks of fighting with him about getting it...
So when you pulled the 2004r filter out, the o ring was still in there and you were told to leave it as well as use the new one on the 7004r filter?
Thats pretty weird. Anyone know why?
Lol nope. Not new to hot rodding. I just like clean installs. I spent many a year hacking cars when I was 16-20 because I didnt have the money to do it right.
So now when I do something I like to try to do it the best way possible, or as good as I can possibly afford. :)
Thanks for the info.
I guess maybe I was a little harsh in saying hack job.
Can you explain the cutting 1/4" off each end of the tube better? I guess thats the part I am uneasy about. Is it that you cut off each end and use the 2004r o-ring on one end and the 7004r o-ring on the other...
Zero class huh? lol
No thanks means that I would rather not do a hack job, cutting this shortening that to make something work. Yes, from the responses, it works, but really not the route I would like to go. I like nice clean bolt in pieces. Not things I have to modify and worry about in the...
Thanks everyone. After searching a couple different times with different keywords, I found that Arizona GN has a hughes deep pan to use a 7004r filter. Anyone know if they come with the filter or you have to buy that separate?
Summit racing also has the Hughes deep pan with a filter included...
Can someone verify that you can do the 7004r filter on a 2004r tranny with a deep pan?
I think Chris from CK performance told me this, but cant remember the specifics exactly.
Anyone know the specifics? What pan is needed? Part number for the filter? Or is it just any 7004r filter...
