I recently replaced the p/s power window motor. I should have done it years ago. The "free tricks" to speed them up isn't worth the time or effort. However replacing the motor is a bit tricky as you have to drill out the rivets and take out part of the regulator. A friend who knew what he was doing did mine and he riveted the new motor back in. My cruise control shuts off intermittently. I replaced the stalk and that didn't help. The green light comes on, on the dash. I suspect a vacuum problem but I really don't know. Glad you made it home in one piece. Your saga was quite interesting! I thought the Bilsteins were too harsh, went with the Sensatracs.
