loose those 4.11's and that car will fly

+1 on the 4.11. Its been proven way back in the day that the torque curve on these motors DO NOT like any other gears except the 3.42's with an almost stock motor combo.

You will surly pickup by going back to 3.42's.

I dunno.. a TA49 on a pretty stock motor running mid 11's aint all that bad. I just say congrats.. that 49 aint going to go too much farther.. especially with radials. On a 1.61 it went 11.4. With a 1.5 60 it can run 11.3's.. I dont know many if any Buicks running 11.3 on a TA49.

Think about that one. ;)

pablo,on those passes,23psi with a spike to 25psi in 3rd till i slip her into od.boost231,the tires feel the 411's more than the 342 and i don't have to load the car with alot of boost to 60ft and have always et and mph better to the 1000ft.razor,can't tell you how much this car loves your alky kit!and how many headgaskets it saved when the overboost ghost comes in third.

tt/ameasap,i run the 325-50-15 street radials on an 8inch rim.the tire is 28inches tall but much narrower due to the rim size.the sway bar was in,and there is air in the bags as the 325 does stick out,my frame is untouched.

Damn... the 325s hang over a lot on my 10" wide rims, can't imagine running them on 8" wide. Reminds me of the guys who think it's effective to cram 275s onto the stock 7" wide rims.

turbo6chicago,i've been seriously considering the 10 inch rim to allow for the full contact patch but i don't want to notch the frame and don't want the tires that far out,the 325 on an 8inch does not come out that far and doesn't overhang badly on an 8inch with a 3.5inch backspacing.the dead hooks on the street which is where most of the fun is.
