76gts or gt 42/76

Well,

It also appears the 76 has the smooth bore on the inlet. I have the step down bore in picture 1.

Compressor housing bore is just under 75 MM. Goddamit.

76mm unit is long shaft only.

You have either a 70 or 74mm unit.

Brian, I thought you were sold a 42/76, which vendor did you purchase it from?

Lol, sounds like he got the shaft.... :(

If you are going to get the shaft the short one is the lesser of two evils.

Brian

To be serious, if you got this from any vendor they should exchange it for you.
If you did the private party deal you should sell it to Norbs and buy what you want.

On a more serious note like John said, get the version you want. Also the stub shaft versions actually spool a little slower since the rotating assembly is heavier.

The stub shaft design was built for strength reasons.

Before i reveal that, is there any HP diffrence between the 74 and the 76 ?
I spoke with the vendor today . The hp question will be the factor for a trade. If its under 50 hp diffrence i wont whine.

Norbs... its not a BB unit , but it spools crazy fast. Has about 150 miles on it.

nope
I may be wrong so correct me if i am
4202 (which i think is the 74) rated at 1100
4276 rated at 1200
Again i may be wrong but i believe this is correct

Yes the 76mm version will make around 100hp more, and spool indentical due to assembly weight difference. No reason to go 74 unless you just like the sound of having a 74
