my 87 gn's powermaster is making a clicking sound ( you can feel something in the brake pedal and pedal gets kind of stiff and doesn't stop good at all when it acts up), but sometimes its fine. Powermaster is factory and could be going bad I guess. Seems very expensive to replace and I was wondering if switching to vacuum brakes is less and maybe easier.thanks

mine failed yesterday as i was attempting to drive it for the first time since october, started leaking and smoking, i am done with this system. i was pricing a booster with master cylinder and it is around 140 new. i will be converting. you will need a vacuum block with the extra port for the booster hose.
