Anatomy of a 1.271 60 foot

Local car, last Friday night. 5.34 at 137 on a bumpy ice rink of a track. No wing....what am I doing wrong:biggrin:

Come on now.
I put the 91mm on the car and I get grief. I get grief over my torque converter. I get grief over my choice to use nitrous and methanol. Now, I get grief for a wing that I haven't even put on the car yet.

Aren't you even a bit curious as to how a wing might cut down on some of that tire spin on the top end? I sure am.

You know I'm just yankin your chain.;) I never had issues keeping the tires hooked up on the big end so I am not curious about that because at 170+ it was not a problem.

I think I'm going to try one last thing before I install the wing. I'm going to move the UCA frame mounting holes .800" closer to the ground. That should give me;
Instnt Cntr Length 45.8"
Instnt Cntr Ht 13.1"
Anti-Squat 136.7%

A side benefit will be, the change will also give me a little more UCA to sway bar clearance.

I'm curious to see what this change might do.

After more thought about the IC, I'm going with the following specs.

LCA level with the ground (raised rear mounting point).
The front UCA mounting point lowered to give;
Instnt Cntr Length 37.3
Instnt Cntr Ht 11.6
Anti-Squat 148.8%

At a tire separation of 1.4" (front and rear) the specs will be;
Instnt Cntr Length 62.1" (calculated center of gravity)
Instnt Cntr Ht 16.0"
Anti-Squat 116%

IC hits the neutral line at;
Tire separation 2" (front and rear)
Instnt Cntr Length 96.4"
Instnt Cntr Ht 22.4"
Anti-Squat 101.0%

I figure this will be a good starting point with the ride height and tire size I'm using.
