I was reading on a charger forum that the hemi's only get about 12-14 mpgs and run about 9.2 in the 1/8th.

Is this true?

How heavy are they?

With all the advertising one would think they faster.

They'll do better than that on the highway.

My dad's Hemi Aspen gets 19 mpg on the highway and we got 11 mpg in his '07 2500 Hemi Ram towing my 8500 lb enclosed trailer.

You might get 14 mpg in town, but you should get over 20 mpg on the highway with a Hemi charger (unless it's an SRT8, then it will run mid 8's in the 1/8th stock)

I average 25mpg plus on the highway at 70 mph plus. Stop and go average 20 mpg if you dont hotrod it. This is in a magnum rt hemi. I even towed my buick with the magnum and averaged 16 mpg over 1400 miles. Made few runs at the track in the high 14s

I work at a Dodge dealership and took a SRT8 Charger to the track and made one pass @13.28. Bone Stock.

we had a wagon and a 300 SRT8 running wed night up here .. low 13s for both .. very impressive

SRT-8 about $48,000 for the 300C loaded. Mine went as fast as 12.86 all stock but averages very low 13's. MPH is very consistant at 105/106. Great car, fun to drive handles and brakes better that some sports cars. Tops out over 180 MPH (I have not tested this ... yet) but some guys have done it.
