Engine worth building??

Just took a 109 in on trade, has a wiped cam, mains have spun. Even the side of the thrust bearing main cap is worn as is the crankshaft. Should I trash it or is it worth building? Don't want to spend more than it can be sold for. I don't need an extra engine.

The're getting harder to find. I'd at least have the block and crank checked. Might be something salavageable in there.

I would keep it. Couple of weeks ago I found out my 85 block had a 8" crack in the lifter valley. I had a horrible time trying to find a junk yard block. I found a 109 but it was the only one out of 10 different yards. Last fall when scrap was so high everything was getting melted down especially the old 3.8 That was one motor that brought decent weight and nobody wanted anymore ( other than us ).
