Fuel pump issues

I know of 2 burned pin cases with 340's.

I have a new Racetronix dual pump system (still in a box LOL) and the pins at intermediate harness wires are substantially larger to carry the amp load.
 
Yes, they only spec'd those wires and bulkheads for the stock weak ass pumps. Any bigger pumps will overheat those pieces and cause issues down the line. If you plan on going to a larger pump just bite the bullet and go all new sending unit and hotwire and be done with it.

I believe stock was 190 lph.
Based on the performance chart, a 255 will do about 360 lbs of fuel at 70 psi and 13.5V, 93 pump. Requires ~8.5 Amps.
About 545 FWHP
 
Don't forget the deterioration of the wires over time as well.
